Eskimo Blue
Pottery Studio

Where pottering around all day has
become something of an art form!

Adult Pottery Class

Learning to get clever with clay!

Adult pottery sessions at Eskimo Blue run throughout the year. There are currently 5 sessions per week and 6 weeks in each pottery term. You pick your session and then come each week consecutively.

Once you have a space it is then yours until you decide to no longer continue. You can stay for just one term or keep on re-booking.

Each class has a maximum of 6 people in the studio and runs for 2 hours. The evening sessions start at 6pm and finish at 8.30pm and you have 2 hours within that slot. This gives you a bit of flexibility of when you arrive at the studio. The daytime session starts at 11am and finishes at 1pm.

Monday - 6pm-8.30pm
Tuesday - 11am - 1pm
Tuesday - 6pm - 8.30pm
Wednesday - 6pm- - 8.30pm
Thursday - 6pm - 8.30pm

It is sometimes possible to book for a shorter term and there is a sliding scale for pricing. All sessions need to be booked and paid for in advance of the class to secure your place on that particular session.

One session - £35
Two sessions - £28 (£56)
Three sessions - £26 (£78)
Four sessions - £24 (£96)
Five sessions - £22 (£110)
Six sessions - £20 (£120)
All materials, firing costs and tuition are included in the price. It doesn't matter if you have zero experience in the pottery department, as you'll be guided through the whole process. All students are at different levels which is perfect for learning from each other too.

The gallery downstairs is a great source for inspiration although it is encouraged to develop your own style and not directly copy. Charlotte's work is also a good visual teaching aid when glaze outcomes are being explained.
To enquire about availabilty please email Charlotte stating the evening/evenings (if you are flexible) you are interested in and which term you would like to book onto. Also if you have any further questions.

Booking terms and cancellation policy
Charlotte understands that at times life can get in the way, even if it is your favourite 2  hours of the week! She has come up with some solutions to occasional problems which offer a certain amount of flexibility in your pottery course.

By prior arrangement it is possible to book different evenings over the duration of a course. You can also include the Tuesday morning class and the Saturday morning class. If you are a shift worker this type of booking makes an evening class more achievable.

If your regular evening slot needs to be changed for an alternative evening, it can usually be swapped but you are required to give at least 48 hours notice for this.
Please be aware that this can only be utilised once per pottery term.

Any cancellations giving 48 hours notice will be offered a catch up session either the following week or at some point in the near future. A catch up session must be used up in the same term and are sometimes available on Saturday mornings from 11am - 1pm, as well as the normal weekday evenings.
Catch up sessions cannot be rolled over into a new term or used as an extra session in subsequent terms.

Any cancellations giving less than 48 hours notice will mean that that session is forfeited and your course will continue the following week.

It sometimes feels unfair, if you are poorly, stuck in traffic or have work commitments but no shows have to be paid for. Eskimos have to eat too!
